Warming Up (Open)

Backpedaling, Jou ducked and weaved away from the shadows. The shadow clones were soon dispersed, and Jou himself winced as he was cut across the leg and shoulder. As he moved, he reactivated his Taiyoumetsuki. The familiar yellow-gold eyes replaced his usual white, blue and black ones. Tendrils of yellow-gold once again flickered from his eyes' edges. Now moving with more agility, he moved in between the shadows, towards Kantamaru. When he was close enough, he raised a finger. "Toton: Furea." As before, the finger erupted in bright light. Not waiting for the reaction, Jou made a single shadow clone. The pair darted in at Kantamaru, both aiming a kick at his midriff to begin the Tsuin-chourui rendan.

This is a simple Ninjutsu technique that uses the light element. The user focuses light-natured chakra to their fingertip, causing it to erupt in bright yellow-white light. This can be used to blind opponents or as a signal to other shinobi. The area of effect is about 10-15 metres around the user - it can be avoided. The effect lasts a few seconds more than an average flash grenade - 8-10 seconds.

Tsuin-chourui rendan (Twin birds combination)

Description: The user sends the opponent into the air with a powerful kick. At this point, the user will create a small updraft around themselves (Wind-element required) to sustain the following moves.
He or she then leaps to reach the subject, kicking them again and again, sending them higher and higher. Once high enough, the user places their hands on the target’s shoulders and lifts themselves up above them. The user flips to gain momentum and just before the flip is completed, strikes the opponent towards the ground with a protruding foot (or feet). The target is sent rocketing into the floor.
With the Tsuin-chourui rendan, the method is the same but a Kage Bunshin mirrors the user's movements. (User completes combination on left or right half of target, Kage Bunshin completes combination on the other half).

Kantamaru was unable to see due to the light but listened in on the foot steps.His timing was off ever so slightly and he was kicked in the chest and sent spinning back.He hit a tree that shook him.He formed some handseals and the feild was consumed in darkness.Jou now couldnt see anything that was coming toward him,hopefully causing him to drop that light jutsu of his.If so,he was going to go for a kick to the chin and attempt to use the Hayabusa Otoshi.

Kokuangyou no Jutsu is a Genjutsu technique which causes the ninja's opponent to be enveloped in total darkness. While in the black void, the ninja will be unable to see any incoming attack or threat

Hayabusa Otoshi

Hayabusa Otoshi is a Taijutsu technique used by Kantamaru. While at an elevated position, Kanta will grab his opponent from behind. Firmly locking himself to their back, he will lock his ankles to their neck to get their body rigid. He will then plant them head first into the ground. Essentially a belly to back piledriver, the move can provide a great concussion to his opponent's head.

As the darkness approached him, Jou's yellow-gold eyes flared. "Sure," he thought to himself, "Technically I'm still in the genjutsu..." With his Taiyoumetsuki allowing him complete vision in these conditions, he created one more shadow clone. Rolling away from the fierce kick aimed at his jaw, Jou and the clone reciprocated the attack, aiming a high kick to knock Kantamaru into the air.

((Um Jou,the darkness is in your mind so even if you could illuminate the feild with your eyes it would still be total darkness))

((OOC: I'm not illuminating the field. It's a little more like a Byakugan effect. I wasn't actually sure if this would work or not anyway, but they allow me to see perfectly in darkness//fog//bright light etc. If it's a mind thing, wouldn't believing you can see through it be enough?))

'Whats with this guy and bright lights!' thought kanta to himself as he stopped for a second and dropped the genjutsu.As soon as the genjutus dropped kanta performed a few hand signs.As he did so his shaodw stirred.his shadow rushed towards the brightly illuminated Jou.If the shadow connected a hand of shadow would go over Jou's eyes and stop the illumination and hopefully any effect they had.

Kage Kubi Shibari no Jutsu is a Ninjutsu technique developed by the Nara clan. To perform the technique the clan member will first bind their target using the Kage Mane no Jutsu technique. Once the target can no longer move, they form the needed hand seal to initiate this technique. The clan member uses their shadow to form a hand which will creep up their opponents body to their neck. Once the hand reaches the neck, it will constrict in such a manner so as to strangle the opponent. However, the clan member will need to be careful. If their target has a lot of chakra, they can turn back the shadow hand and prevent it from binding their neck
