Jou sat on top of the stump. Looking around, he could see trees, trees and more trees. The large clearing he was in was the only bit of open space in the whole forest. Spinning a kunai on his finger, he wondered if someone would show up soon. He hadn't arranged anything, but you never knew. If not - he could wait.

Kanta was walking through the village and noticed a young shinobi sitting on a stump. "You look like you wanna spar,i think i can help you with that." he smiled as he walked ove to the shinobi.

"Finally!" Jou thought to himself. Then, addressing the shinobi, "Hi. I'm Jou, and yes, a spar is just what I'm after." Jou shook his limbs and rolled his head. "Sorry," he muttered, knowing how daft he looked, "I've been sitting here for too long..." He held the kunai firmly in his hand. "Let's not have this get out of hand - no serious injuries." He said. "I'm ready when you are."

"I am Kantamaru Nara, Leader of the Nara clan.And yes I agree no serious injuries." he said removing his own kunai and firmly grasped it. "You can have the first move Jou." he said waiting to see how the Jounin fought.

Jou sized up his opponent, wondering how best to fight him. He twitched his nose and cocked his head sideways. "Okay then." He said. "Let's begin." Biting his thumb, he made a hand seal and thrust his palm to the ground. "Ninpo: Kuchiyose no Jutsu!" He said loudly. There was a explosion of white smoke, which then whirled around and away. In its place stood Daichi, the giant falcon.

"Arashi-jisan." Jou smiled, using Daichi's nickname. Daichi turned his head to face Jou. "What is this, Jou? You've summoned me for a spar?!" He clacked his beak in disapproval. Jou met the falcon's gaze. "Yes. What of it?" There was a moment's pause before the great bird turned his head to face forward again, ruffling his feathers. "Good." Muttered Jou. Despite their little squabble, Jou knew Daichi well, and what might have appeared as bickering was in actual fact a sort of camaraderie.

Jou hopped onto Daichi's back. With a few great wing beats, they were airborne. Jou pulled out three kunai, and watched his opponent carefully from above.

Name: Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Spiritualism technique)

Description: A powerful jutsu, Ninpo Kuchiyose allows a ninja to summon animals, objects and the dead to fight on their behalf. The ninja normally signs a blood contract with the animal species, which allows him to summon different size and skill levels of creature.

Description: Jou signed a blood contract with Daichi, the giant falcon. Jou often uses him as a means of transport because of his incredible flying speed and maneuverability. Jou has a good friendship with his summon, not least because they both share natures. Daichi symbolizes wind and lightning, and has often been called “Arashi-jisan (Stormbringer)” by those who have seen or met him. Daichi is able to use lightning and wind in battle, as well as his talons and beak.

Kanta sighed. "Sorry its not night Fukouru but looks like it an avion battle." he said as he bit his own thumb and performed the same hand signs. "Kuchiyose!" he said as a ploom of smoke went up and a giant owl appeared. "Kantamaru Samma,Its too early and bright to be out here right now." whooted the owl as it flapped its wings. "Sorry Fukouru, but its time for a spar." he said pointing to the falcon. "Lets do this." he said hopping on the owls back.It then spead toward the falcon. Kanta laughed at a random thought. "I should probably falcon drop this guy huh Fukouru." he laughed. He then threw twelve kunai at Jou aiming as not to hurt the falcon.

Jou grimaced. "I guessed wrong, Daichi. I thought we'd have the advantage in the air." The great bird looked at him, but said nothing. A barrage of kunai were approaching fast. "Daichi, show him what you can do!" Jou placed one of the kunai back in the holder, and gripped one in each palm. Daichi swerved gracefully through the air as the first few kunai zipped past. The next two came a little closer, and Jou flicked out his hand to meet metal with metal. He felt his stomach turn as Daichi dropped down to avoid the remainder of the kunai. Throwing the two in his hand back at Kantamaru, he then formed a hand sign. "Fuuton: Reppushou!" He cried, thrusting his palms forward to direct the attack at his target. The wind would catch behind the kunai and carry them along. "Two attacks in one," Jou murmured, "Good."

Description: Reppushou is a Ninjutsu technique utilizing the wind element. After forming the needed hand seals, the user will send a powerful gust of wind towards his target. When acting in conjunction with another thrown weapon, the wind can greatly increase its power and deadliness.

Kanta drew the spear of thunder and extended it to a shorter than usual 3 ft in length and began spinning the spear as a sheild of lightning formed from the spinning spear.

Jou smiled as his opponent started a lightning technique. True, his attack would be blocked, but he knew what to do next. "Lightning is weak against wind." He muttered smugly, and made a hand sign. "Kaze no Yaiba." He said quietly, as chakra coalesced into a sword-shape in his hand.

Description: This jutsu creates a blade of wind. This blade is impossible to block because of its intangible nature. Unlike the Cutting Whirlwind Technique, this jutsu requires no tool.

Kanta blocked the attacks.He heard rushing wind.Not oridnary rushing wind,the kind of wind created by a fuuton ninpo. "Not good." he murmurred to himself.He didnt like the Idea of an airbourne weapons battle. He flew under Jou's Falcon and threw a kunai with a paper bomb attatched at it and detonated it.He was going to catch Jou if the Falcon did indeed dismiss itself after the attack.

Jou followed Kanatmaru and his summon's movements closely. The pair had just blocked Jou's attack, but he was flying towards them with his sword of wind held aloft. The owl made a sudden rush underneath Jou and Daichi, and Jou lost sight of his opponent. "Daichi..." He began. "I'm already on it." The falcon replied, beating his wings hard. Whatever Kantamaru was doing underneath, Jou hoped this wind would stop it.

He heard a faint voice from below, and his eyes widened. Not a second later, there was a large explosion beneath Daichi and Jou. The wind Daichi had created kept it from hitting them directly, but the great falcon tumbled away from the heat and smoke still lingering in the air. Jou held the bird's neck tightly as they slowly regained balance. "We shouldn't continue up here, Jou. We could match his ability in the air, but we'd end up in a dangerous stalemate." Daichi warned him.

Jou directed Daichi and they flew towards the opponents. As they approached, Jou threw his blade of wind at the bird, and crouched on Daichi's back. "This should force us both back to ground." He said quietly. "Shunshin no jutsu!" He muttered as he sprang from the falcon, appearing again at the side of his opponent, aiming to knock Kantamaru out of the air.

Name: Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique)

Description: This jutsu is a high-speed movement technique, allowing a ninja to move short distances at an almost untraceable speed. To an observer, it appears as if the user has teleported. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by using chakra to temporarily boost the user's reflexes. The amount of chakra required depends on the overall distance between the user and their intended destination.

Kanta had just jumped over the blade than noticed Jou had dissappeared. He drew the katana no kage and began searching about for Jou.When he landed on the bird he saw out the corner of his eye Jou appear next to him. "Not good." murrmurred Kanta as he was knocked off his owl. "C'mon Fukouru,you can do it." he muttered as he fell through the air.Seconds later he was ontop of Fukouru again.He made a kick towards Jous torso.

The kick landed and he fell backwards and off the owl. Throwing his arm out, he grabbed a handful of feathers and pulled himself back on to Kantamaru's summon. "This can't continue..." He muttered. A simple idea struck him, and he crawled across the owl's underbelly, towards its neck.

When he reached that area, he closed his eyes. "Taiyoumetsuki." He whispered. When he opened them, his eyes were completely yellow-gold, the pupils and irises had disappeared, and tendrils of the same colour were flickering off the edges of his eyes. He hoped Kantamaru hadn't seen him underneath, or his plan would become complicated. Wasting no time, he swung over the owl's neck and held out one finger above its eyes. "Toton: Furea!" He cried as a blinding flash of light burst from his finger. "Going down..." He said, gripping the bird's neck tightly.

Special Characteristics: Kekkei Genkai: Taiyoumetsuki (Sun's Eyes).

This Kekkei Genkai is (as yet) unique to Jou. He knows very little about it himself, but has learned to understand and control its effects. It is activated by Jou closing his eyes and concentrating chakra to their surface. Upon opening his eyes, the most noticeable thing about Jou is his eye colour. It becomes entirely yellow-gold. Small wisps of this effect can be seen dissipating from around the edges of the eyes. the iris' and pupils disappear.

--Jou's opponent(s)' moves become easier to follow (not 'see through' like Sharingan, nor copy-able like Sharingan).
--It allows Jou to see with more accuracy and as normal in any conditions (at night, in mist etc). It does NOT grant extended field or range of vision or allow Jou to see his opponent(s)' tenketsu points (like Byakugan would).
--Jou is able to elevate his body temperate to extraordinary degrees with no ill effect. He can reduce it back to its normal state, but is unable to take it below 36 degrees.
--With the Taiyoumetsuki active, Jou is able to naturally combine his two elements (Wind and Lightning) into a third element, Light. Through this, he is able to perform a number of potent Light techniques.

Name: Toton: Furea (Flare)

This is a simple Ninjutsu technique that uses the light element. The user focuses light-natured chakra to their fingertip, causing it to erupt in bright yellow-white light. This can be used to blind opponents or as a signal to other shinobi. The area of effect is about 10-15 metres around the user - it can be avoided. The effect lasts a few seconds more than an average flash grenade - 8-10 seconds.

Kanta sighed. "Well,Im taking this to the ground now." he said as his shadow consumed him and he disappered and appeared on the ground rubbing his eyes.They burned from the intense light."Now,come down here Jou."he yelled casually to him.

Shunshin no Jutsu

Shunshin no Jutsu is a basic Ninjutsu technique. The ninja will appear and disappear in an instant, allowing them to retreat or attack suddenly. To facilitate the movement the ninja will often use nearby elements such as mist, sand or leaves to mask their appearance or disappearance.

Jou hopped off of the owl and fell through the air, landing softly on Daichi's back. The great bird spiraled down until Jou could jump safely to the ground. After brushing himself down, he unsummoned Daichi and turned to face Kantamaru. "So now the real fight begins, huh?" He quipped.

"Undoubtebly.Lets see what youve got." he said as he sheathed the katana no kage and assumed a taijutsu fighting stance.He began to study more of the Jounins behavior.

Smiling, Jou drew a single kunai. Watching his opponent carefully, he waited for the slightest opening. Thinking he had seen one, Jou hurled the kunai at Kantamaru and dashed towards him, making hand signs as he went. "Kage bunshin no jutsu!" He said, as nine shadow clones appeared, all running at Kantamaru, the single kunai leading the way.

Name: Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Technique)

Description: Similar to the Clone Technique, this jutsu creates clones of the user. Unlike the Clone Technique, these clones are actual copies, not illusions. The user's chakra is evenly distributed among every clone, giving each clone an equal fraction of the user's overall power. The clones are capable of performing jutsu on their own and can even bleed, but will usually disperse after one or two solid blows. Unlike other clones, they can't be detected by the Byakugan because the clones have the exact same amount of chakra and aren't made from any other substance, making them indistinguishable from the actual person. Any experience the clones gain during their existence is transferred to the user once they are dispersed.

Kanta side stepped the kunai and slashed one of the clones down the body.He dropped down and took anothers legs out but was punched in the face by another. "Alright enough is enough." he said to himself as he began to evade hits and form hand seals. "Kage Nui!" he said as his shadow leapt from the ground in sharp tendrils and began to attack the clones and hopefully jou.
