Jou strolled out of the village confidently. He was on his first mission in what seemed like an age, and he was determined to do well. He walked quietly and calmly, and soon the village was just out of sight. He began to practice conversation openers with other people, knowing he'd probably need to do some information gathering soon. He smiled to himself, "You can't just ask them if they've seen any murderers lately," he thought.

It was oddly quiet - Jou had not seen anyone since leaving Hidden Leaf and it worried him. Moreover, he hadn't had the chance to question anybody, and his mission was progressing at a snail's pace. He stopped walking and looked all around. Nothing, no one. Sighing, he sat on roadside, under a tree. Closing his eyes, he calmed himself and began thinking of an answer.
